Enhancing ink print adhesion and 3D printing properties of materials by using atmospheric pressure plasma jet

Project aim

This project is supported by the Executive Unit for the Financing of Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation (UEFISCDI) and implemented by a team from Physics and Biophysics Education Research Laboratory (P&B-EduResLab), Department of Biomedical Science, Faculty of Medical Bioengineering, „Grigore T. Popa” University of Medicine and Pharmacy Iasi, Romania.

Main Objective

The present project, ‘Enhancing ink print adhesion and 3D printing properties of materials by using atmospheric pressure plasma jet’ (Plasma4AdhesionPrint), consists in a series of studies upon the usage of atmospheric pressure plasma as a technological solution for environmentally friendly surface processing of polymeric materials. The general objective of the project is the enhancement of surface adhesion through appj plasma treatment for better ink-printing of plastic material and better inter-layer adhesion of 3D-printed objects.
